In April, the Middelburg municipal executive’s portfolio holder for culture will unveil three works of art in different parts of the city.

On behalf of the local authorities, the visual arts association Stichting Beeldende Kunst Middelburg is coordinating the initiative Art in the Districts, which involves the creation of six works of art in collaboration with district residents. The inhabitants of each district had the opportunity to express their wishes and then to choose among a number of proposals by artists.

The Stichting Beeldende Kunst Middelburg is managing these projects in partnership with the Rotterdam organization Mothership.
