Photographer Roma Pas captures moments in the shadow of the fashion world. Pas’ work was shown concurrently with Higher Truth No. 5, in De Kabinetten van De Vleeshal.
Roma Pas is not as much interested in models and fashion collections as she is in what lies just outside the centre of attention in fashion. Rather than focusing on the models, Pas photographs the audience. When she does photograph models, she does so from behind a haze of photographers and eager audiences obscuring all but the model’s legs. Other photographs show the preparations for a fashion show, such as those of a model rehearsing in her own clothes.
