Over six months, a group of six young people from Zeeland - Anne Fleur Swart, Hannah Nieuwenhuijs, Isabel Smaling, Lizzy Mae van Leeuwen, Lotte ten Siethoff, Manon Helsloot - have come together as Team V. Under the guidance of Ploen Mevis (Education, Participation, and Public Engagement at Vleeshal) and program coordinator Yusser al Obaidi, they have undertaken a unique behind-the-scenes look at the organisation and contributed ideas about the future of Vleeshal.
At the start of their program Team V chose the theme “ik verlang dat het leven wat langer duurt”, which responds to Vleeshal’s vision process for the next 50 years. Marking the end of their program, Team V will organize an event celebrating the finissage of An Impossible Sound, an exhibition by Rory Pilgrim that highlights the choices faced by young people in regional areas. This program marks not only the end of Pilgrim's exhibition, but the beginning of a new chapter for Vleeshal as it relaunches its program in Summer 2026.

Team V Finissage 'An Impossible Sound'

Series
Team V is a group of young, diverse, and creative individuals with a passion for contemporary art. Each member has been selected for their motivation to learn about curatorial processes. They are coached and consulted by the Vleeshal team and learn about all aspects of working in a professional art institution. During the coming year, Team V will get a unique chance to look behind the scenes during Vleeshal’s projects while creating public programs and connecting with the full team, the artists, experts and a wide range of audience members. The members are Janna Dieleman, Agathe Ernandès, Donna van Kuilenburg, Zenana Ojha, Lucy de Theije and Sam Wigglesworth.
The Team V program connects education with artistic programming. By letting them organize their own public program in relation to Vleeshal exhibitions, we create space for young voices.
